The Regions of Zone 1 will again host the annual "Clash at the Glen" Club Race at Watkins Glen International on June 4 - 6, 2021.
No sound restrictions at this event.
Friday - practice sessions, practice starts and fun races
Saturday - 2 Sprint Races for each Run Group.
Sunday - 60 minute Enduro for each Run Group**
**After the morning warm-up sessions, we will have 3 - 60 minute Enduro races that will run back-to-back through the normal Watkins Glen lunch hour. This will allow for maximum participation with no refueling and drivers being able to do the whole Enduro with or without a co-driver or team support. The change also makes for an earlier finish and the ability to get home at a more reasonable time. Tentatively the last Enduro race will end at 12:45 PM with the Pirelli Awards ceremony at 1:00 PM.
All participating drivers will receive a special "Port Authority" Clash Jacket with 20th Anniversary Commemorative embroidery as seen in our PCA Club Racing magazine ad!
There will be absolutely no new registrations at the track!
Early Registration and hotel reservations are recommended.
Garages available for rental via your registration - first-come, first served basis
The points races at this Club Race will earn points towards the 2021 ClubSport Series, the 2021 944 Cup East Chapter Racing Series as well as the 2021 PCA National Championship Points Series.
Hoosier Tire East will provide trackside tire support. We encourage racers to reserve tires ahead of time to ensure availability. Orders must be received no later than Friday, May 28th
For those of you wishing for track time at the Glen in preparation for the Clash, Metro Region is hosting a traditional Drivers Education event on the Wednesday and Thursday, (June 2/3) prior to the Race weekend. Click here to register

Pete The Clash is Pete Tremper! It is what it is because of you and the volunteers and the drivers that love the facility and love all the decisions that you have made on the drivers behalf! You are only as old as you feel, and think of all the frequent flyer miles you have accumulated with 77+ trips around the sun!

Does anyone know what the protocol will be for crew and for guests? Our region has a DE on the Monday and Tuesday prior to the event and the restrictions are quite tight. (No guests, and a limit of 2 crew members.) I don't see anything specific on the club reg web site. Am I just looking in the wrong place?
Mark Walters and I are registered for SP1. If there are NO OTHER 944 SP1 cars registered by this weekend, we’ll be forced to pull the plug. If you know any SP1 or 944Spec cars in the region who are interested, PLEASE encourage them to COME!
Pete: Thank you for making this the event of the year, every year. I know it takes great execution by the team, but your leadership and non-nonsense racer's approach to WGI has made it the classic it is for all of us.
