Per another discussion in this forum, Porsche Cars NA gave Laguna Seca an ultimatum to perform track upgrades before another Rennsport event would be held there. The track has secured the funding for the project and now has a little over a year to get it done. So, it would appear that PCNA wants to utilize Laguna again, but time will tell.

Keeping in mind that this is largely a marketing event for Porsche, they're gonna go with a track near a healthy supply of buyers (and potential buyers) of new Porsches. Most tracks are in the boonies and not conducive, unfortunately. Plus as noted above, local infrastructure to support the event. Apparently Laguna is good for that.

Yup, Monterey and Daytona have the hotel/hospitality capacity and weather... though there are many places I'd prefer to visit for next RR.
If only the Harbor hotel at WGI had 12,000 rooms LOL. We'd drink the floor sticky at Seneca, and sleep it off in style
Cheers

Even though we live in Charlotte and just about any other location bantered around would be closer than Laguna Seca…I’d rather it stay there. The last two, wife and I (and friends) made it a week + vacation. Few days in Napa/Sonoma, visited Kevin at TRG/Adobe Road Winery, nice leisurely drive down PCH with a few fun stops along the way, 3/4 days in Monterey for RRR and such, fly home.
Daytona quite honestly sucks. All commercial, chain stuff with no personality. And viewing stuff on the track isn’t all that great except like two spots.
Road America is almost too big, the “races” are relatively short so there’d be like 3-5 laps per race…. but doesn’t seem to be enough hotels around? Gotta believe it would work since they do the Weathertech vintage race there.
The Glen would be good and somehow they hold big events so gotta believe there’s hotels somewhere.
I heard rumors of Indy…mainly because of the Penske influence and their commitment to LMDh car… but I can’t see taking a vacation to Indy.
Road Atlanta? Maybe, but with the Mitty and Petit already there, plus it doesn’t lay out well for all the showcase stuff Porsche does.
ok, so I’m biased and just want to go back to LS… 😁

Here’s hoping for WGI or Road Atlanta with an outside possibility of Barber? Whatever way it goes, I’ll be there…

Really looking forward to the next Rennsport Reunion. Went to Rennsport Reunion V at Lauguna Seca and had a blast. My only regret was not booking our hotels sooner. Had to drive back and forth to San Francisco each night.
