De: weekday vs weekend
Curious.
Do drivers care a lot about weekday vs weekend dates?
It never mattered to me as I’ve always had a very flexible schedule, but does this influence your registration decisions a lot?
I’m specifically thinking about events at njmp though I don’t think that matters.

Everyone's in a different situation, but I'd imagine that generally speaking folks with young families prefer weekdays and those without prefer weekends. Personally, weekends require me to burn through a lot of goodwill and if I'm going to do that, I'm going racing. A weekday DE at a local track (like NJMP) only requires time off work since the kids are at school anyway. It seems to me that there were a few more weekday PCA dates at NJMP in the past then there currently are.
That said, my first DE of the year is next weekend! Tells you how much I'm able to get out

For me it used to be weekends, but now it's more whatever fits in the overall schedule. It seems those are weekdays more often than not.

Listening closely, as this is a discussion at our local club. For me personally, I prefer weekdays. I have to plan work schedule around them, but frees my weekends for other things with family or without (no young kids anymore).

PTO is too valuable to use on DE events as it is spent on family vacations usually.
Traveling 5-10 hours for every DE event would make it tough to do mid week as well.

Weekends only. Work consumes the weekdays. Im lucky if I can take Friday afternoon off to drive to the track.

Everyone is in a different boat so there will be no definitive answer. Job or no job, demanding or not, flexible v. inflexible work hours, remote possible or not, amount of PTO, married or single, kids or no kids, age and activities of kids, shared hobbies or not with spouse, etc. ad infinitum. A year ago, i was finishing a demanding, inflexible, and in-person career. Weekends were better for HPDE, but took my sparse discretionary time away from family, friends and my other passion (bicycle racing). Now I'm retired and can drive whenever. I just did NJMP with Moe yesterday and will be back next weekend with Schattenbaum. I was formerly mostly limited to my local tracks (NJMP and Pocono each 90 minutes away). I'm now able to take the time to travel to more distant tracks. Everyone is different and even for the individual, circumstances change.

Always easier to play hooky from work instead of abandoning the family on the weekend.

I was there yesterday with u at mo-e. I perfer weekdays for the close tracks but anything i need to travel more then 3 hrs i like to do as a multi-day event. They r usually weekend deals.

Weekends, until I retire.

At my club, weekdays are usually UNcrowded. Oftentimes there’s rarely a car in sight on the track during weekday HPDEs. Weekdays are ideal for practicing, testing & tuning, properly scrubbing new sets of Hoosiers, etc. Weekend HPDEs are relatively more crowded.
