993 de car
I’m not planning on selling my car soon, but I’m curious. Is there a market for a 993 track car with patina, but also a recently rebuilt engine and tarret and moton suspension? I still see a few 993’s, especially at mid-o.

Personally, I'd love one. I currently drive an SC and a 964/993 is what most interests me.

Well they sure draw admiration at HPDEs. But given price points expect a good chance buyers may not be limited to HPDE drivers, as street cars an DE “mod” cars are not far apart.
WGI a for years back.

I loved my 993 track car (and street car for that matter).... they reaaly are great track cars, even if the newer stuff is faster..
My only issue was the cost to repair if something unfortunate were to happen.
Fantastic cars and still my favorite car, i just wish fewer people liked them....

The good and the bad of RWB, is a whole new fast and furious generation now lusts after the 993 and 964, so demand and growing rarity (of unmolested chassis) will unfortunately/fortunately keep values high. And I expect a growing electrification modifications to eat up even more chassis, but then we have Gunther and others creating modern interpretations. Thankful I got in when I did, plenty of ever improving P-Cars that are fantastic road and track cars, but 993 holds a special place not to be replicated again.
Great to see the rarest of samples (‘95 Bridgestone S02) out in the wild (for a photo shoot at least) to remind us how special a time that was.

I just sold a track day prepped 993 c2. It had a lot of good modifications (RS parts, rebuilt pss10, etc.) but was far from concours and had plenty of patina. With that in mind, I sold it quite a bit below what a more street oriented car would sell for with similar miles. I sold it by reaching out to someone on rennlist who posted about looking for a DE prepped 993. It was a very easy transaction and I while maybe I could have seen more money for it, I feel it was a fair price all things considered. I chose not to post it to the broader audience as I did not want to deal with a bunch of tire kickers wanting a pristine street car.

I'll assume this was it. If so, it was here for a long time just until recently when the owner opted for a street car he didn't need to trailer. He didn't tell anyone he was selling and after he did, three members said they would have bought it. Everyone was disappointed. I've got tons more photos but here are a few for you.

I recently acquired a 993 from a fellow RLer. It’s now my daily driver. I’ve owned a bunch of Porsches over the past 30 years and this car to me is the sweet spot for driving enjoyment on the street. And that’s saying a lot given my other street car currently is a 981 Spyder.
