Default Mid Ohio Club Race

Registration is open! This year we are dropping the practice starts and fun races on Friday afternoon and adding a 3rd practice before the qualifying session. Saturday will consist of a warm-up and two 30-minute sprint races. On Sunday we will run a combined enduro that will finish before lunch. Of course, all drivers will receive a one-of-a-kind commemorative t-shirt and podium finishers will be presented with a flashy, genuine gold, silver, or bronze (painted) medallion.

We are teaming up with the Northern New Jersey Region who is hosting an advanced solo DE in conjunction with the club race. Their sign-up is over on Motorsportsreg.

Stupid Fast Tires is once again providing track-side tire support. Be sure to call Aaron direct for pre-orders and he works directly with Frisby to cover any tire needs.

I hope to see you there!

I'm signed up!! Registration looks a bit light. Hoping to see a few more GTB1's show up. Just noted that the PCACLUBRACING.ORG doesn't show that registration is open.

You've just ruined Matt's day.

Less than two weeks! About 40 cars total. Any word on run groups? Two years ago it was just one RG. I missed the race last year, where there more?

Question answered: one run group for the entire race (plus two DE groups).

How can this race be sustained with so little turnout?

DE Groups and/or sharing with another organization like BMWCCA.

I remember when this was a huge weekend. When IMSA/whatever pro series used to race the weekend or two after helped because we had a number of pros come to use it as a practice weekend. Paddock would be full of transporters. I think the change in schedules between IMSA (who is not coming to MO this year at all) and the club race certainly did not help. And we always hear the "Watkins Glen is too close" excuse as well. It's a shame because it is a great track and welcoming Region. IMHO it has nothing to do with the PCA Region as they have bent over backwards to make it a great weekend.
