Race Seat Recommendation for Large Person
Hello, I have Recaro Profi SPG XL that I love as my driver seat but would like to get a bigger passenger seat that can fit larger passengers. Any recommendations? I was looking at Sparco EVO QRT XL which seems to be a little bigger than the Recaro XL, but would like to hear any other suggestions.

I prefer the term JC Penney's coined long ago - "husky"

He is a little too big for it and would not fit. Not just a comfort thing. And I do drive the car on the street on nice summer days and don't want to have a passenger not be able to fit if they are just a little too big.

Racetech makes a Tall/Wide version of some of their race seats. Also keep in mind most race seats have different padding options.

How big are we talking? I'm a 36 or 38 waist and IMO sparcos are at the limit for what I fit comfortably in.
There are many large guys I race with and they generally go with Kirkey seats.

The P LWBS in my GT3 are another story. That’s a tight fit for me. Doable, but right.
Best thing to do is go to a race shop and have him “try them on” so to speak.
Stable is where I tried all my seats on, and you can’t buy the wrong seat if you fit fine in the store. “Try them on” to take out the guesswork and not make an expensive mistake.
Good luck and let us know what seat you end up with.

99% sure most common manufacturers won't have anything for you because I know I'm the upper limit for a lot of racing seats. Corbeau I think has big boy seats, but i think they top out in the low 40s for waist. He'd probably fit but it might be snug. Kirkey's are ugly but they have seats to fit anyone so it's probably your best bet.

OMP XLs are actually XLs.
I have the HTE-R as a drivers seat and WRC-R as a passenger (or did until I just switched cars).
The WRC is more comfortable than the HTE.

Hmm.. thanks. I'll take a look at the OMP seats.. maybe that's also a good motivator to lose some weight, haha. Or worst case I keep the stock seat on the passenger side.
