Default Rennsport 2023

Anyone heard whether they were accepted to the PCA run group? Club Registration has not been updated last time I checked. I'm dying to know so I can plan my trip to include racing at Sonoma/Sears Point with PCA two weeks following the Rennsport gathering. It's a logistical nightmare for someone who does this as a hobby...

I have heard nothing new....

I think the PCA event at Sonoma two weeks after RR VII is a tentative date on the calendar...at least from a GGR perspective. Last year we had a low turnout for that weekend so I think GGR is still considering the fate of that event.

However, the PCA Club race at Laguna two weeks before RR VII is a solid date.

Thanks Scott. I was hoping to do Sonoma as it would be a new track for me. I saw the pre Rennsport LS race and may end up flip-flopping my travel if I get into Rennsport.

PCA is still waiting for approval of the list from PMNA. Re the GGR events, a little bird told me to plan to race Sonoma Oct 14-15.

I just an email telling me my entry:

"...has been moved to the Pending List and will be considered for acceptance in the car class you selected on your registration."

Since I have been moved to the pending list, I am pretty sure this is code for "you have been accepted". The email goes on to tell me not to pay yet but get my travel plans made.

Anyone else? I am entered in GT3...

In addition to the Rennsport club race, GGR is running a club race at LS two weekends prior to Rennsport (September 15-16-17) and at Sonoma two weeks after Rennsport (October 14-15).

I'm requesting H-prepared (RS America) and got the same email, also looking how to interpret it. Does "moved to pending" mean "accepted"??? It's a looooong haul from GA and definitely going to require some planning.

I got confirmation yesterday that my entry has been accepted for RRVII. None of the Cup Cars were accepted based the entry list. 51 cars are on the list...the bulk of the cars are GT3-5, 911Cup, and Spec Boxsters. The schedule suggests that the PCA group runs on Thursday and Friday with 2 practice sessions and 1 qualifying session on Thursday and 2 races on Friday.

Thanks for the update! I got my confirmation as well. I'm assuming there are updated docs in ClubReg regarding the weekend schedule? Checking there now. Looking forward to seeing yall there!

PCNA stipulated 1999 and older cars for the PCA race group.

Anyone here know how to rent a golf cart for the event? I called the track and they don’t have a specific vendor like other tracks I’ve used for large events like this.

My dad and I will be coming in on Wednesday and he’s got a bit of a bum knee so we need to sort out some way to get around a little more easily while we’re there.

We’re staying onsite in an RV so we were planning to park it at our spot overnight.

Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Will be watching this as well- always rent a cart at Road America so we can really explore... only issue was once we forgot to "unmod" the governor before turning it in and got a hefty bill in the mail!!
