No narritive needed beyond “it’s California”. This on the heels of the tiered rating for time of use rates for solar customers.

Yea, I thought about that. There were about 5 EVs out at the track a few weeks ago - All Teslas, 3 Model 3's, a Y and a Plaid. No hook ups but one thought about using the RV chargers to recharge his Model 3. This is at Buttonwillow where if you're from CA know it's in the middle of building a new loop. They have Tesla Super Chargers going near that new loop at the entrance. Don't know if it's meant for EVs at the track or commuters on the I-5, but they're going in. Also of note in this same vein is that Ford and now Chevrolet, announced they will use the Tesla Charging hardware to make it more uniform across the platforms.

Upsides/downsides...
Sold our Bay Area home, relocated north.
Sweet house, 5+ beautiful acres, room for horses for my wife.
30x40 fully equipped shop for me.
Enough leftover cash to retire. Very little that I miss of the DPRK.
But the closest track (Thunderhill) is almost a 5 hour tow., as are PIR and ORP.
When they finally finish the Fresno-Bakersfield high speed rail section, I'll come back to ride that.
You'll be able to travel at high speed from one place that no one wants to be, to another where no one wants to go.
And it works in either direction!
Ironic.

Buddy of mine that I used to race with moved from SoCal to Eastern Washington. Sounds like a similar property you bought, 5 acres, huge workshop. Semi retired now. He just restored an old 914 for spirited back roads driving.
