Beware Mothers Racing Rubber Remover

Another option...Rejex. I have used this sealant instead of wax on my track cars. It contains a solvent that rapidly removes the rubber marks, and it leaves the paint sealed and protected. It's not a polish, so it won't remove mars and scuff marks.

Reviving this thread. Did a thorough cleaning of my car yesterday after 3 days at The Glen. After washing I decided to finally tackle the 2 years’ worth of track rubber accumulated on the car. A small amount of AMMO Skin sealant applied to the marks with gentle pressure, followed by quick buffing with a microfiber towel did the trick, and left behind a nice layer of protection. I’d imagine Meguiars Cleaner wax would be similarly effective and maintain protection, as mentioned above. I’m going to get rid of my Mothers R3 since it and other degreasers just strip off layers of protection from the paint.

Yes sir, that AP Chem will getcha every time …
That being said, I use the R3 and love it.
Just gotta use it the right way.
I don’t use it at the track. When I have a lot of marbles all over the car, I wash the car, then R3 the rubber off, then wash the car again where I used the R3. Hasn’t failed me yet.
Of course, if you need to get every rubber mark off as soon as it gets on there at the track, my method won’t work.
