Default Petit LeMans

I'll be headed to Petit this for the first time. My son is coming into town and we're really looking forward to it. We've been going to Sebring for decades and several of the other IMSA races, but I have a few questions for the Petit veterans. I've been to several events there, but I know that Petit draws a huge crowd.

We secured parking in the Porsche Corral but what is the best way to get around the track? Do they have shuttles/trams similar to Sebring? It seems like they have sold out every spot that's close to a viewing area so the idea of driving your own car to a location and finding parking isn't easy. Is that accurate?

Any advice you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated.

park at the corral, you can get quite close at turn 1 and 3 lots of uphill; walking to back side take the shuttle @ turn 7 you can almost reach out a touch, I'm been many times drove it also , if you can hang around till dark night time visual is great, there is a up close fan viewing on the track @ 10:30 am wild be very crowed go early you can walk right up to the cars , you will be back

You can also rent a golf cart if you want easy access around the inside of the track. It's not cheap but if you want easy access around the inside of the track it's worth it otherwise you will be doing a lot of walking if you want to get to the back of the track. The good thing, as mentioned above, the Porsche corral is close to some great viewing areas such as turns 10a-b which can be viewed from the Porsche hospitality tent next to the corral and also the paddock, vendor village, and turns 1-4 are in easy walking distance. For reference, the corral is next to the PORSCHEPLAZ marking on this map for reference.

Turns 10A and 10B (from both sides of the track) are my favorite locations. Turn 5 (Spectator Hill) is also a great spot to get close to the cars as you see them coming from Turn 3 and then down through the esses. Turn 1 and 3 get pretty crowded and there's not much room but still good to check out (the race is 10 hours long, these spots won't always be crowded).

At night, go to Turn 7 which dumps the cars onto the back straight. Glowing rotors galore from that spot.

We're looking forward to it. Even more so to be racing there for the PCA race next Spring.

Cool shot David.

Also, I'm reaching out to your vinyl guy this week. I need to get the new race car wrapped ASAP. Thanks for the contact.

I’m up here today and tomorrow, running two glorious days with Chin. They’re lining up in front of the main gate as we speak.

I hope everyone has great weather, it’s been fabulous today and will be tomorrow as well.

Best time today was 1:31 in the Ferrari 458 Challenge Evo, I’ll post the vid if I can figure out how.

I think this is going to be a good one for sure. There are a few championships up for grabs.

I was supposed to be there this weekend but I ended up working on my car so we can do a shakedown at AMP in the next couple of weeks.
