Been lurking on RL since 2009, when I picked up a 997 and started HPDE. Bargained my way into a tatty old Cup car to learn, asked a ton of questions here on RL (mostly in the Cup forum) and landed this gateway drug to racing. Specifically, Porsche racing.

Years later, racing is the one thing that gets me motivated every morning. Am fortunate enough to be able to leave my office job, now to focus on this sport while I still have a few years of youth in me...

Early this year I thought I'd document my journey, so I can have something to look back on, when they days are gone and I'm no longer able...

Below is "To Be An Asset" Season 1 – a series of four episodes starting with the Asian Le Mans Series (ALMS) campaign, then each of the races at Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC): Spa 24H, Indianapolis 8H and finally Gulf 12H. Everything is unscripted–just like the race weekends they follow. It's told through the lens of drivers and team with all the naked grit and emotional rollercoaster. If you like racing stories, I think you'll get this.

As I write, the 2023 season is over and the final episode is in production. What next year looks like I frankly dunno. But if enough folks resonate with what they see here, there may well be reason for a Season 2.

Keen to take people's temperature on this project and to gauge if there's life in this whole documentary idea... it ain't easy to do a "Road to Le Mans" in my privateer capacity but if this creates a public memory in an honest and accountable way, it'll all be worthwhile...

I really enjoyed it! Production values are very high and it is a compelling story to watch. Of course, all of us on RL love just about ANYTHING race related. LOL! But I thought this was very well done.

Just finished watching both episodes. Excellent! Production is perfect, really gets you on the journey that you and the team experienced - highs and lows - just like how a race weekend evolves.
Absolutely awesome that you were able to find a passion and pursue it to this level. Congrats! Looking forward to more. (and not at all too technical IMO)
