Flying into Sebring from Newark….

As a full time Sebring resident I think it is easier to fly into Tampa, I go a certain route developed over the years under 2 hours door to door, use the Polk Parkway off I4 east, take 98 south, to 60 to 27 south, fastest drive. If I can help out with any other local information let me know.

Santa looks a little offline and might want to try looking up the track

I have a house in Mel Beach just north of the Inlet and when I go I fly I go into OLO from EWR. Lots of choices on departure times and lately hasn't been the **** show it was previously. I haven't driven to Sebring from the there yet but it looks pretty easy.

That seems to be about the time from all the airports to Sebring. Same for RSW?

‘Smart. I-4 is a cluster in the Disney area. I often take turnpike down to Highway 60 then over to 441 down to Sebring. It’s a bit longer but you avoid the tourist traffic and the bazillion traffic lights on highway 27.

When I have looked in the past the flights to Orlando are cheaper than Tampa, and there also seems to be more flights. I hate dealing with the tourist crowds of Orlando but it is what it is.
The ride from Orlando to either Sebring or Daytona always seems to take way too long and Florida drivers are a special kind of stupid.

If you haven’t tried it before, from OIA catch the turnpike south to Yeehaw Junction exit, then onto 441 south. From there to Sebring it’s a bunch of back roads with minimal traffic and maximal cow pastures. A much more relaxing drive than going down highway 27. Maybe a bit more time but IMO worth it to avoid tourist traffic and myriad traffic lights on 27.

Looks like we're gonna use RSW and Tampa as our go to airports.
I too hate Orlando airport and the chit show getting out of there and over to 27, and then the lights on the way down from there.
Fort Meyers first, and then Tampa. Bank it!!

Also, the other reason which makes Orlando airport miserable is flying out with all the miserable kids who are coming down from a weeklong Disney sugar high. Bose noise cancelling headphones are a must!

Anyone going to Sebring should be aware that to rent a car in Fl the driver needs to have a Gold Star/Real ID license
The rental car co's don't tell you about this until you get to the counter Ask me how I know
