I rented a car at Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL) 2 days ago (dropping it off at Tampa Airport tomorrow), and I don’t have a real id or gold start license. Never came up, but will check before I rent again in January.

Thanks for the heads up Dan. Will def inquire for the next rental. I’m gonna have a truck down there but will be renting a car for the wife so she has something to drive while I’m at the track. Thanks for the info. First time I’m hearing of it as we’ve rented cars down here quite a bit recently and never had the issue. Thanks again for the heads up.

If pissing someone off gets me 60 days at Sebring/Homestead/Daytona/Road Atlanta during the months that Watkins is buried under 3 feet of snow, I gotta start pissing off more people.
Also, not living there full time for the 4 months. Still have somewhat of a life in North Jersey and will still be going into the office a few hours a week, for now anyway. Hence the “flying into Sebring” thread title.
If you’re referring to the city of Sebring itself, I have no issues with the place. Far from saltwater fishing, yes. Having a world class racetrack in my backyard while the wife sun bathes to her hearts content, not so much…..

Day 1 in the books.
Drove the afternoon as morning was wet.
Shook out the cobwebs and rust and started feeling it by the end of the first session.
Been having a blast with the wife in the winter digs as well.
Day 2 looks better weather wise. Then flying home Monday night.
Back here for 10 of 12 starting with Winterfest mid January. Then PCA then Chin then DMTD or something like that. See all of you there. Car will be under the SpeedSport tent, which should be directly across the paddock from Chateau Dreyer.
And for the record, Not a fan of Dominos Pizza either. No real New Yorker is.
Gonna be a good winter…..
