Along the same note , Le Circuit Mont Tremblant in Quebec finally reached a settlement with the 310 plaintiffs that complained about the noise after they bought properties and built million dollar homes around the track. They will share a 2 million dollar settlement which will allocated by the amount of time they have been exposed to the noise.
There are other details like reduced events and all , but being my home track i’m happy it will be around for many more years.
I’m happy it worked out for Laguna Seca as well !

Cheers
Phil

  • Favorable agreement allows Friends of Laguna Seca (FLS) to continue its 2024 season and operations as planned.
  • FLS will begin crucial assessments, including a previously planned sound impact assessment, to make necessary improvements.
  • Agreement establishes Friends of Laguna Seca’s stewardship of the facility for 50 years.
The summary of the Laguna agreement seems a little vague.
"...to make necessary improvements."
Just who gets to determine what's necessary?
From his past history, I wouldn't be surprised to see that A-hole back in court next year.
I'm still disgusted.
