others will probably chime in with better details but i always looked at safety gear as the lone area i would never shop by price. my life is worth more than a small savings. fwiw at the suggestion of my friend (who is my local shop owner) i run schroth 6 points.

Check with Clark and Linda at Apex Performance , they’re very knowledgeable and will
steer you in the right direction !
I buy my suits and harnesses from them …
Schroth harnesses for me , already on my third set !

Cheers

After using two sets of Schroth harnesses over the years I just switched over to a set from Lifeline and I actually like them better. They maintain belt tension better.

Talk to Bob at Naroscape and get Lifeline. Sabelt would be a second choice.

They all have to meet and pass the same regs. IMHO its the features that make the price difference not necessarily the name.

I have 2” Sabelts and really like them. Not sure why one would use 3” but maybe I’m not aware.

Give me a shout and I can help you out.
we sell Schroth, Lifeline and Sparco. I personally recommend Lifeline - it’s what we have in both of our cars. Price is good and they are top quality FIA belts. Nearly identical to Schroth Enduro except like Mike said I think they hold better. And are much cheaper.

I'm on my second set of Schroth harnesses. Both were purchased from Clark and Linda at Apex Performance (using their Black Friday gift certificates). Linda was very helpful and confirmed expiration dates were current.

I started with a 3" harness (mostly 2" with 3" lower part of shoulder straps). At the time some organizations required 3". My current harnesses are all 2" webbing.

I like the configurability of the Schroth. I've configured the lap belts as both pull up and pull down at various times. They come with a complete set of installation hardware.

Others here have a lot more experience with multiple brands, but I've been very satisfied with the Schroth.

It’s ok for price to be a consideration provided the belts meet your requirements. 2” belts are easier with your Hans and the other important points are ease of use of your belt lock and ease of tightening and releasing your belts.

The latest FIA spec is for 2" belts all around - you can cinch them tighter all around and they lay smooth over hard parts of the body. The 2" are supposedly woven different and stronger than the 3" belts. If you find an expensive belt at a "cheaper" price, check the fia date. They may be old. I have a few sets here we can closeout if you don't mind changing the belts in 3-4 years versus 5.

Feel free to give us a ring to discuss or I'm sure most of the rennlist sponsors can help.

Linda
