Not looking for sympathy, just felt is should explain why this jackass was pushing so hard on lap 1 of a 30 min qualifing session..

I need to offer my apology to the driver of the blue/orange sp3.
Sorry for the dive bomb into t1 on the opening lap..
No excuse for it, but let me explain what happened. I fogot to put fuel in the car before our session. I only had enough fuel for a couple of laps. Rather than come in and miss qualifying, I made the poor descion to to try to make a time on that first green lap and was pushing too hard on cold tires...
I ultimately paid a big price for my descion later (in the uphill esses). but also pulled a dick move on you, and for that owe you an apology...

Great weekend! Hopefully we can get the entry numbers back up next year. Thanks to all the region and national staff that worked so hard to give us an awesome event.
Here are a few laps from qual in the vintage group.

It was a great event as always. It would have been nice if somebody else showed up in GTC4 but I had fun racing with the GTD cars and chasing Carl T. in the Fabspeed car. It makes me a bit nervous racing such a beautiful, and expensive car but it was a great view!

She's no worse for wear, other than a flat spotted tire, after her debut with PCA CR at Zone2. Serious "high" after that weekend running with Black group. I had an awesome time, even if I did run out of gas on the last corner of the last lap. Now I know when my AIM shows 2 gallons on the display it's really "ZERO" gallons in the tank. Take-aways on this SP3 "slow" car are that I'm understeering a touch. Going to a softer front spring before my next test day. I'm also going to need to sort the fuel Ohm reading on the sender in the tank and figure out why it's not showing zero when it's out of gas. Otherwise, was a good time. My best in practice was a 2:11. I know there are 2:09s in it. The Hankooks are slower to come up to temps than I was used to with the Toyo RR on the SP1 car, but the grip is impressive. If I can dial out the understeer (I had to manage it all weekend), it'll be pretty quick. Really surprised about how well it handled with no real aero and all that ground clearance.

I lost it in the climbing esses during a DMTD practice session. Luckily I went off to the right.

I love the commentary afterwards! I had a moment myself at the beginning of this highlights reel. Car just had a touch of understeer. I think it is because of the alignment used with the hankooks by the prior owner.

My best lap at VIR sadly came during the DMTD before the race, but I am happy with it. I just need more seat time to be able to do this consistently!

Nice lap. My fastest came during DM days too, by almost a second but the conditions were right and there was clear track. Still getting used to the 7.1 cup after two weekends and one race. It's a big transition so I know there are several more seconds to be found.
