I’ll be there, actually somewhat close over in turn 4. We’ll definitely come by for a margarita!

We are at turn 1. Right next to retired IMSA driver Bob Leitzinger. Great guy!

I’ll be thinking about you guys as I continue to trudge through tax returns. I will follow as best I can. The evening Bud will be for you!
See ya at Road Atlanta.

Weather is great and rhe cars r fast. Good racing from the miatas and carrera cup car and the lambo race was kind if a mess but they settled down.

Our turn 1 spot. Part of the enjoyment of this race week is reconnecting with friends. Enjoyed the annual Bacon Bob breakfast!

I'm pretty sure that is the same Bob Leitzenger that I bought an enclosed trailer from about 3.5 years ago. Neat guy and I was (am) jealous of all of his toys. Seems to me he was right outside Greensboro, NC?

Bob won IMSA GTU in a Nissan 240SX at Sebring in 1991. A great racer.

Bought my first set of sticky tires from those guys back in 1992 or so. RE 71s.

I think I dealt with Butch.

Meanwhile, have a new young "racing friend" (Oscar) likely calling fuel, et cetera, for the AE team. A regular participant in this forum introduced us, and together we introduced Oscar to another young engineer looking for a job. That young man turned down Google, Tesla and others and is now at Sebring working in pro racing! He works for Oscar!

Anyone looking, USA Network has started their coverage. Supposed to stay at Sebring till the finish. Great racing so far. GTP is anyones race, but the Cadillac team looks pretty good. Night time will tell the tale as the track cools.

Now THAT was racing! After almost 12 hours, the last 10 minutes were worth the price of admission. Kudos to Deletrez, Andretti and Acura. An aggressive move to pass the Cadillac could have been disastrous for both.
The Penske 963 just did not have it at the end, finishing third.

No risk it, no biscuit.

That was the best "sell him a dummy" moves I have ever seen. Perfect.
