Default NJMP Repave Videos

Too much talk about Christian Horner, d**k pix, Max's daddy, etc. Back to something that concerns our driving. The Thunderbolt repave looks to be done.

Here's some in - car video from an early event:

All of the important exit curbing looks to be preserved or widened and/or lengthened. There's a few more feet of length coming out of 12. Having been forced off there by some inadvertent lawn mowing, I like that. Some of the apex curbing appears to be narrower, including the whole octopus.

Looking forward to running there in a couple of weeks.

Did they fix the river that forms after T2 when it rains?

The first video looks like a drone view.

Yes. The whole area behind T1 is redeveloped and there is now a gravel trap there.

It looks like water still pools on the left on the entry of turn 1, but I didn't see a river that usually runs on the exit of the octopus

Was T-1 widened on the inside at apex? Hard to tell without the inside tires - are they coming back, had a car flip in front of me there and a giant link of tires landed across the track.

Yes - they widened it to the old (original) pit exit apex curbing.

Sounds like it’s going to be an overall faster lap due to both new surface and track layout.

It looks like most of the apex curbs were not changed and they concentrated on expanding much of the track out curbing. There are a bunch of places where it was a little dicey and having just that little bit more room is going to add a bunch of speed.

I predict that if we get decent weather for the PCA race in August almost every track record is going to get crushed!

Weren't they going to add some new sections to the track? Like around the Octopus section? I don't see any grading anywhere.
