Default Lexan windows ?store car outside in FL sun

I just put a Lexan windshield and hatch in my 968 this past year.
I bought a 996 and am thinking of storing my 968 outside with a good car cover to move the 996 into the garage.
Should I be concerned about sun/ heat damage to the Lexan with the car covered in the north Florida summer sunshine?
thanks
Dave

Yes. It will craze and it is subject to UV clouding. You can treat the Lexan with a coating that can help slow this, a lot.

Will a cover protect the Lexan?

Depends how much UV protection it has. Most less expensive covers don't have much.

A light colored (light reflective) outdoor cover that is treated for UV protection would be best.

I've even say to put a light stop fabric over the windows before the cover.

Shops heat Lexan up to make to shape it from its shipping form.. I'd say the heat of Florida sun is your biggest concern.
