Carbon fiber doors on Cups provide the illusion of safety. It is funny when gaps start to open on the doors at high speed and I am always afraid it is about to jettison like your did!

It would act more like a kite then an anchor but I think I replaced the 986 door for $200 at the time. It's the wing going back and forth horizontally in the mirror at high speed that gives me pause. I think I look at the mounts after every run.

Why don't they just finish the job and put spike strips down?

Yeah, that could be a heavy penalty if you get pinched or otherwise put a wheel in the wrong place. They should put up a trail cam if they leave them up for track days.

Those look brutal but from the pic you get the first ones closest to the track and if you try to kiss the armco your car may shead some parts, unless you are in a Safari 911.
But then again there are either track limits or there aren't. Enforce them like F1 has been doing. NASCAR at COTA was comical. They were letting them go 4 off all over the place.

I think (and hope) that they look a lot worse from that reverse angle than they will actually drive. I'll know for sure in 2 weeks
