If you don't know about the Harbor Hotel...be sure to ask for the Car Club rate and once you have looked at the lake once reserve on the Town side. much cheaper this way.
I agree Harbor Hotel is the best choice. Your wife will thank you. View from our room a few years ago The sunsets were spectacular! Get a Lakeview room with patio if possible (outdoor deck). If the weather is decent it’s a perfect spot for breakfast/drinks/view

Last time we were at WGI we found a real gem of a restaurant called Sapalta on the West side of the lake about 20 minutes up from downtown. It was really delicious.
