Default Car Update

I heard back from the body shop last night that they will be able to repair my car. 4-6 weeks of work which puts me back on track for VIR and Road America. It will be a good sized check, and more expensive than switching everything to a new tub, but I want to get back out there and not have to explain to my wife why my car suddenly looks so different

I want to say a big thanks to everyone for the kind words in posts, PM's, emails and phone calls. This really is a great community.

Special thanks to Gary R. for helping me track down a replacement car and a PPI shop and volunteering to do all the work swapping cars with me. You're a great friend.

Also want to say thanks to John Hajny aka RedlineMan for building me a great cage. The body shop said the cage structure prevented more significant damage and made the repair possible. Without it the car was toast.

Great News Sean . . .

You will probably save yourself a LOT of time in sorting the car out by fixing this one . . .

Sean

I've already got a donor car for my project. I'll be using the fenders and rear quarters plus left side suspension. I also need the right side door.

Anything else on the car is yours if you can use it.

Just be sure Julio installs new style headlight bezels!

I just wanted to see you back out there ASAP so if this gets it done the best for you then i'm happy. I have my selfish reasons, now that my brakes will be correct I need you out there to chase!

Good news. Please post updates of the progress to offset the bad voodoo from the "before" pictures.

If you are going to Julio he'll make it better than new. And he should have plenty of time because I have not been occupying all his time lately (**** on wood). Good luck!
