Default PDA is Getting Monticello Dates. What about PCA?

PDA has 2 dates at the new Monticello Motor Club. I don't like PDA's safety inspections (or lack thereof) and I'm hoping that PCA would get some track time as well. Any news on that front? I'd love to go to that track, seems like a great facility.

Ilko, you have pda confused with another club. PDA has the same tech forms and requirements as pca, in fact my techs at some pda events have been tougher than metropcas. I know scda has a voluntary self-tech which is bull****.

CVR has a Sept date. However, I have been told that Monticello will not rent the track to the clubs so I'd be interested to know if PDA or CVR actually has a signed contract with the track, or just the offer of days from a previous discussion.

Yes they have and I've already sent mycheck! 325$ a little steep to say the least at least it includes a catered lunch.
Joe C at pda is very good about setting these kinds of deals up, kinda a wheeler-dealer in a good way.
I tend to go to alot of pda bc my other non porsche friends come along too (vipers, f cars, yes vettes too).

Chris, my experience with PDA has been quite different. They don't even use torque wrenches to check wheel lugs at their tech inspection, just a flashlight. Also, their form is a joke. It's the easiest thing to forge. And that results in cars with major engine issues at the track, making it dangerous for everyone. I know that from first hand experience unfortunately

Back on topic, I wonder if Monticello is using these days as one time thing only in hopes of getting paying customers from those clubs in the future.

My understanding is that they will be using only a short section of track, not the complete Circuit.

Collecting money does not necessarily mean they have a signed contract to rent the track. Do you know for sure that PDA has a signed contract?

Yes, MMC would only allow the South Course to be used for non-member events during the week. The North Course is reserved for members and the members run the full course on Friday-Saturday.

If you go to www.monticellomotorclub.com you can review the track layout and view the South Course. It is about 2.1 miles long and quite interesting to drive.

What's in the water back there for you guys? Hardly any of the groups out here have a tech at all............and we have about zero in the way of problems.

I've driven the the full track. It is fantastic. It will take a great deal of time to learn.. I'll just keep playing the lottery.

I too am confirmed with CVR for the 2 day event in September for the South Course. I don't know for sure, but knowing the CVR leadership, I have a very hard time even imagining that they don't have a contract since they've advertised it, posted it at clubregistration, accepted drivers and their money, etc.
