Default Open track days at TWS

got this info recently!!

TWS is proud to announce the beginning of our Open Track Days starting in JUNE! No longer will you have to wait for the weekends to get back on track! This will be held twice a month during the weekdays, up until daylight savings time again in October.

To see which days of the week work best for most customers, we would like you to take 2 minutes of your time to fill out a 6 question survey. In it we are asking which days of the week and what time of day works best for you!

Thank you so much in advance! More information to come soon, TWS Open Track Days are just around the corner!

Please visit our Open Track Day Survey at the link below!

That looks like fun. I need to get better up there. I left a lot of speed around there in March.

They have moved forward with this and there are dates available. It looks like Outback caters a dinner after the events. Price is reasonable. I'm shooting for the June 26th date.

That's what we're shooting for. Those were a blast. Looks like they will happen on Fridays from about 3:30 to 7:30 so folks can put in a half-day at work on Friday, take the afternoon off, and still get in four hours of driving in the afternoon. Like Stuttgart46 mentioned, Outback will be bringing in streak dinners for a reasonable price. Hopefully we can schedule some before DE's so instructors and advanced students who come up Friday will be able to get some bonus track time for the weekend.

The first one is scheduled for Friday, June 5th, and I should mention that these are only open to solo/advanced drivers as there will not be any formal instruction available (though we can likely arrange some informal advanced instruction if desired).

There will be EV's and corner workers present, but we probably won't have all stations manned like at a normal DE event.

It should be a fun, laid back event. More info here: http://www.texasworldspeedway.com/co...=details&did=8

Have you gotten a good response so far Martin? It looks like a lot of fun and I could be back home by 10:30.

Dunno how many are signed up, but there seems to be a lot of interest. The track is committed to trying this for a while even if it doesn't break even so that people have a chance to get the word out.

very nice outing yesterday. Perhaps 20 cars or so there with no more that 4-6 cars on the track at any given time. I never felt rushed or pressure to get on the grid to make a "session" and was able to adjust fuel, change tires, take a break whenever needed. Got almost 3 hours of run time in and was able to work on my driving with Viking in a very relaxed atmosphere. By the end of the afternoon was able to turn consistent laps several seconds faster than I had in a long time in the 944. Very pleased with this avenue and many more folks should take advantage of it.

Sounds like a great time. I'll be there, once I get the green machine back on the track.
