If one were to buy such a wonderfully priced race car, would one have to commit to running in any 944 cup events? I'd be interested in using it for pca de after law school, job, etc...

How does the car's performance compare to a 944 turbo?

About 75 to 100 HP less then the Turbo, so the Turbo is faster, and how much in terms of lap times depends on the track and the driver....

Ideally, the car would make it to some Cup races.

Any other pics or information you might be able to add. Would the car be picked up out of DC ? Do you have a list of things that could be suspect with the car.

Drop the price! Drop the price!

Great price for a prepped race car.

Why so much concern over the front bumper? At that price you can put whatever the hell you want on it!

Seriously!
Given the list of race prep and freshening work, a fully prepared SP2 car with a current NASA logbook for under $6K is just about the best 'buy it and go racing' deal I've ever seen. I can't imagine a better way to get into racing. Somebody needs to buy this car!

Oops.

I try to encourage the troops and wind up making it harder for Larry to grind DD down another $25. Sorry Larry!
