Default AIM MXL setup question

I have an AIM dash, the MXL Pista, and have a question about when the system starts (and stops) logging data.
When the car is turned on, the dash is turned on and starts logging. It seems to keep logging the entire day as though it is a single race or run, even after I turn off the ignition (the dash is powered by the car battery via the ignition).
I think that the logger is just merging the data for the entire day, and that there should be a way to set the software so that each run is separate.
Sounds easy, but the Aim software and documentation is a bit obscure.
Can anyone tell me where to change the setting so that the runs are separated?
Thanks

Rick - I believe when you do your download process it asks if you want separate or one file for your runs doesn't it? Each power up/down breaks them apart. I'm going to grab my data from Limerock today so i'll check and get back if you haven't received a more definitive answer by them. PM Joe at Circuit, he's the AIM man here..

Hi Gary
I am not being asked that question when downloading, but you may be on to something. I will check the download settings.
I hate to bug Joe on this stuff, as the dash came with the car so I am not a customer. He's good about helping, though, and maybe will rise to the question.

That sounds odd. Contact Roger Caddell at Victory Lane Data, roger@victorylanedata.com Roger is always willing to help.

It's either during the download or the 1st time you access the file...

Its when you configure the dash that you select whether to merge all day sessions or break them up per everytime the car gets started and continuously run.

Don't have access to my Laptop that runs Windows but can confirm later tonight.

I just downloaded my data. In the Download window (before you actually download anything) there is an "Options" button. I have the button for "save each run as a separate DRK" lit up.
