Default Cheap NITTO NT-01's

onlinetires.com (no personal affiliation) is running a sale on NT-01's (that I have become to really love for their predictable behavior and long lasting performance).

Around 16-17% off list (the cheapest I have seen), cheap Fedex Ground shipping ($20 per tire) and no sales tax to TX.

This is definitely a better deal than discounttireonline.com

gah, too bad we cant run these in spec, especially with the recent price jump in RA-1s... NT-01s are pretty much the same tire too.

Nitto NT-01 are great tires to transition to in DE when moving from street rubber. To me, they seem safer than many street tires at DE events, even for novice.

Can you be a little more specific without landing a lawsuit. We can't get Nittos down here and I'd consider getting some shipped if they didn't cost too much.
Has anyone run R888s and NIttos NT01s? Impressions?

Just paid $132+ tax a tire for 225/45/15s at a mom and pop ricer shop in Pomona, CA. Flash Audio Experts (909) 620-0606. Best price I have seen/paid since the Nt-01 came out.

I've run both the 888's and the Nittos. Except in the rain, I prefer the Nitto tires.

Prices are higher, but discounttiredirect.com sells the Nittos and are a reputable company. I don't know anything about onlinetires.com

I've run both in the dry and prefer the nittos.

I pulled the trigger on four. I'll let y'all know how it works out. I did get a shipping confirmation this morning. Fingers crossed.

(Of course, my 944 is under 4 feet of snow, so if they want to slow ship them, that's fine.)

I know it's a long shot, but if anyone wants a set of OLD Toyo RA1s that have a decent amount of rubber left, but are well past their "sell by" date, lemme know.

Likely discounttiredirect.com is aware of the discounting of NT 01 and would consider the fact in their pricing.

They are a good outfit with multiple warehouse locations including Columbus, OH.

When comparing, keep in mind that ground shipping is free at discount tire. For my size tires shipped to the northeast I found the fronts are about 9 bucks cheaper at online tires while the rears are 1 dollar cheaper.

+1 here. I did a comparison shop on both sites and if you delete the warranty and valve stem cost from the Discount Tire site, their quote was $1/tire more than Onlinetires for my 205/50-15 size, when shipping is taken into account.

also with Discount Tire there is not cost to remount tires if needed. My local discount tire shop will generaly match prices and move me to the top of the list for service since they get my repeat business every 4-6 weeks instead of their usual customer that returns in 4-5 years. I like to support local business's.
