Default R.I.P. Eric Geores-Valkyrie Racing

Some of you may have know but Eric Geores passed away on Saturday from a long hard fought battle with Brain Cancer. He fought a good fight. Eric was the owner of Valkyrie Racing. He was an accomplished racer in SCCA and PCA and turned his passion into a business of building and supporting Porsche racecars. He loved Porsches and had a ton of enthusiasm for our great sport. He was a great guy and he will be missed.
There will be a wake on Wednesday from 6-9 at the Sweetwater Country Club in Sugarland and the funeral is scheduled for Thursday.

I had the pleasure of knowing Eric and his wife, Sheryll.
Truly great folks.

Eric will be dearly missed by all of us that knew him. RIP, my friend. I hope you are sitting in Valhalla, a full Einherjar by now.

Do you guys know if Valkyrie Racing will remain open?

May the Lord bless him and keep him, may Gods face shine upon him and give he and his family peace.

What a great guy, always lent a hand, willing to pitch in. Didn't matter if you were racing with or against him...

I will always cherish our time we had together.

GodBless and GodSpeed my friend, You are loved here by many...
I miss You...

Eric will be deeply missed. I really enjoyed seeing him at the track each event, especially over the past few months. Despite his failing health he still made it out to each event, to do what he loved and to be with the people that shared his passion. A good man who led a full and blessed life. He'll be remembered each time I take to the track.

That is terrible news, may he rest in peace.

I saw some of his cars at MSR Houston a few years ago, I spent a bit of time looking over them-they were outstanding pieces of workmanship. I took a number of pictures that I've often showed other people when the subject of what can be done to a 911 comes up.

I'm sure he will be missed by many.

He was truly a passionate individual about his chosen sport.
A perfectionist at heart. Always with a word of wisdom and advise for those younger and less experienced (like me). He'll truly be missed.
