OK, since we're talking good vs. great. That last picture, although "good", is not great. Great would be better if the car had space to the front instead of behind. Use the rule of 1/3rds but in a motion shot, give the object in motion somewhere to go in the frame. Actually, upon review, all three pictures suffer that problem.

Nice shots, but most track day photogs end up with the shot in the middle as it is really hard not to.

I'm not sure these two shots are "great", either, but they start to illustrate what I'm getting at...





This next shot I think is great. Although the subject car doesn't have the "room in front" I am advocating above, the car in the back (nicely out of focus), makes up for it. Good use of 1/3rds here!

I think they cropped it somewhat but the actual photo had more space in front as did this one

Charlie- I think this illustrates your point (cropped and also by Sideline). It's hard to get the car, the space in front where the car is headed and the cars in the background but yours does a better job.

I'm only sorry in the original photos up top that I had had rain tires on because:

1.) well, it was REALLY wet (it fell quite suddenly- if you look I'm wearing sunglasses).
2.) The spray off them would have been more dramatic
3.) There would have been more cars on track- many showing discretion, exited when it was apparent that it was not going to let up. A few dumb-asses stayed out.

I just want one shot of my car on 2 wheels.
