Testing tires for Michelin in Dubai...

As for treadwear ratings, remember that they are relative to a 100 baseline and only are useful when comparing tires from th esame manufacturer. So a Michelin 300 rating is not the same was a Bridgestone 300 rating.

Tread wear Smed wear, I want a tire that sticks like a radial slick and lasts as long as the General All Season with little to no fall off in grip
PS Also priced like an RE11 or AD08 not the ridiculous current PS2 pricing.
PPS Leh sounds like a One Lap tire doesn't it.
PPPS Continental is also testing a new tire that could be competition.

I got the double pat, lucky me. Once in dubai, and once in Atlanta. The hazards of having hardware in my leg I guess.
It sure does sounds like a a One Lap tire.

VR, what gang are you affiliated with? I'm not familiar with that sign.
BTW, awesome gig! I'm so jealous.

This is code for "We took some RLers, grabbed A. Wayne and brought him out to the middle of the desert and had VR put a cap in his ***. No fuss, no mess. Wayne and Jimmy Hoffa -- never to be seen again.

Kurt, I am affiliated with the Righteous Infidel Pipehitters gang.
Enduro, the 458 is a really cool car. Excellent transmission/diff combination (for a paddle shift). Way too many electronics for my taste, however, and these affected the layout of the interior, which I thought was haphazard. Fantastic engibe, good brakes (which eventually overheated...), very very good handling for s street car. Weak link for track use? The seats. BLEH! But there was incredible headroom for my 6' 4" height + helmet.

So, intrepid testers, when do we get a report on the Michelins and the competition I suppose you had to compare with. The Pirelli Trofeo for example.

I am currently on family holiday, but will try later... We did not test the Trofeo IIRC.

We didn't compare against the trofeo. Wet skid pad was against the continental SportContact 2 in Audi TT's. My feeling was the car was easier to control, less jerky, more progressive. Wet braking was against Pirelli P zero's. Not a huge difference between the 2, but that's a good thing. Ps-2's were not as strong in the wet as the P-zero's. As far as dy handling, the only car I drove against was the Dunlop Sport Maxx. Big difference there. The SuperSport was much more predictable, both under cornering and braking. Overall a very impressive tire.
