Default FS: ITB GTI

1984 GTI ITB - Well built and sorted ITB car with log book. Kirky racing seat, fresh black paint, caged with full racing suspension. Ready to race, ax, or DE. Built and maintained by Shine Racing and Exotech with $4,600 spend in the last year on suspension upgrades and new paint. Many extras (engine, tranny, rims, etc.) Perfect car to start racing with! Car is located in Kennebunkport, Maine. $3,500/obo

Not a Porsche, but cheap fun for sure!

Tires and probably different suspension since it is so stiff, but I don't know anything about Rally set up.

My guess would also include some cage updates/additions.

As for the car as it sits. ITB is a really fun looking class. The people who I know who race in it are a GREAT group of guys here on the east coast.

True, I have seen these things kill at ice racing.
I think the cage is good as it is for anything. If anything it is to well built, everyone says it was over killed when built.

This is a really fun ITB car. I've wasted a few Carreras on the track with it. Enduro-mobile anyone?

True, I have pissed off a lot of 911's in this baby at Lime Rock and NHMS. Watkins Glen was a different story however.

At the moment the car is located in Maine at my folks place. I will get up there this week or this weekend to snap some interior pics and I will get the specs posted ASAP.

Coming up with a spec sheet might be hard as I don't have it and the PO can't find it. I do have a $4600 bill from Shine Racing www.srsvw.com that I would share that was recently done right before I bought the car a year ago. This bill had to do with header work, F.I. and suspension work. I will get pictures up ASAP!

Volkswagen is paying $100 per win in 2011. 35 wins = free car if you don't count entry fees, towing, tires, brakes, fuel, hotels, etc.
