Default Keep on racing, Bob!

I said goodbye to a dear friend today -- BobW, (known here as "Bull.") He was a frequent poster here until last fall, when his health took a turn for the worst. He was a private man when it came to his health struggles, so forgive me, Bob for posting this here...

I used to caravan with Bob & the NNJR gang many times to the racetrack -- VIR, Mid-Ohio, Summit Point -- spent many hours behind his truck pulling his white 993 (and later his 964 cup) #94. Seems whether I was on the track or the road, Bob was always faster than me -- always infront of me!

Can't tell you how many times we'd be talking in the pits and I would say something stupid, to which Bob would respond with a followed by a deep sign, followed by a "Z-man, Z-man, Z-man..."

His love and adoration for his wife, aka "The student" is admirable. (Mrs. Bull went back to school a few years back). His passion for Porsches and especially DE's was truly contageous. His history of motorsports was also deep. He lived a full and diverse life.

So, as his wife said in the memorial service today, "Keep on racing, Bob!"

RIP Bob -- Race in Peace...

-Z-man.

Nice tribute, Z-Man. I met Bob when Millville opened. He will be missed.

My deepest condolences to his family.

Terrific guy; very generous with his knowledge, kindness, and friendship.
I wish I had known he was ill.
So long, Bull - thanks for making the track a better place.

I did not know him but my sympathies go to you and his loved ones. He sounds like he was a great enthusiast and friend.

I didn't know BobW either. But it sounds like he was a great guy. It times like this that I am reminded why I like being involved in amateur motosports.: it's the great people you meet and the friendships you make.

God's speed....

I only got to know Bob a few years ago through Rennlist, but we would have lunch when I had the occasion to work up in North Jersey. A great guy with even greater stories. It is sad to know that he will not be with us any longer.
