I have no result info because I have not been at the track. What I can share is the weather is perfect today. Cold in the morning (lots of HP), upper 60s this afternoon.
Tomorrow may be ugly for the drivers. Very good for Bob Woodman (lots of rains going out the door). Storms are forecast for tomorrow afternoon and into Sunday. Racing before noon will likely be dry and comfortable. Races after lunch......well, we shall see.

Yesterday and Thursday were gorgeous. Mark and Fred are set up for a great battle in E, and the class record was set to be broken (it unofficially was on Thursday). There were several crashes yesterday in everything from Cup cars to 944s.
Good luck to everyone today in the rain. Unfortunately I am back home already due to an engine problem.

I think Fred C came in 2nd in the 1st sprint (dry) to Hupfer but got in a faster lap, and won the 2nd (wet) sprint.
Instead of qual/sprint1/sprint2, today (Sat) we had sprint1/sprinta/sprint 2(?) due to lousy weather.
The club did a GREAT job trying to get us dry races in the short pause of rain, but the big bore group got rained on in sprint1 after 2 laps and most of us including me retired. Cory was the only one who went out on rains and it ALMOST worked, but a rear tire delaminated on the back straight JUST before the rain came so he was out. Leh Keen won easily but could not get a new track record before the rain came. Joe Varde in a GTA1 Cayman came in 4th.
Our second sprint was completely wet but not pouring, and no bad puddles so all the cup cars (about 14 went out) behaved and no more cars were trashed. My lexan windwhield with no defroster fogged up on the 1st lap so I went from 3rd to last but stayed out and drove slowly till I could see again. I left before the 3rd sprint. Cory won and Fernando Pena was 2nd.
Tomorrow afternoon enduro might be dry, I sure hope so as I need to get in some good laps finally, the updated car has been a handful but it's getting better little by little.

Any word on the driver of the Turbo? I heard it was really ugly.
Terrible day with such changing conditions. Wet - Dry - Drizzle - Downpours.
Tomorrow afternoon may be good. Hope so.

The driver of the turbo was out of the car walking when I went past the 2nd time. It happened RIGHT inn front of me, and it WAS really really ugly!
I have video, but you can't see much due to the spray and fogged up windscreen.... Not sure if I should post someone else's carnage or not....you know, Karma!

Can you please just describe the accident, and the color of the car? Thanks...

It was the first lap of the 2nd race, and it was raining hard. We were going down the back straight, he was in a grey turbo (said "turbo RS" on the back) with NC licenese plates. There was so much spray etc, I can't say for certain what happened, but he either touched the grass on the right, or tried to correct as the car moved around a bit in the heavy rain. He hit the right side wall hard, then came across the track, and hit the left side wall hard, then spun down the left side wall to the bottom of the hill. I was immediately behind him when this happened. It was BIG!
I talked to some of his crew guys as they loaded the wreckage, they said he was ok. That's good. The car...not so much.
The car was WICKED fast in a straight line. He would pull close to 20 car lengths on me in. The straights, then I'd catch him in the corners..went like that the whole first race.....

Wow, glad the driver is OK.
