That was a very hard hit. Glad she is not hurt. She showed real experience by taking her hands off the wheel. No panick from Danick.
I was impressed by how little her head and body moved from such a violent impact. Nice safety gear.

I was surprised by the announcers being surprised that she took her hands off the wheel citing her open wheel experience. Okay, maybe most drivers don't put their hands on their helmet like she did, but surely they take their hands off the wheel, don't they?

I've not heard of putting your hands on your helmet before, I was told to cross your arms across your chest or grab your harness.

Glad she is okay. Dude turned down on her might quick. She did everything right from my perspective. Not her fault.
Que up the haters because they are coming into this discussion.

It looked like she was essentialy going backwards when she hit the wall, though she hit with the RF. So would that mean her helmet would want to move backwards (into the seat) and to the right?

It was really a lateral hit in the RF which would put her head into the right side of the containment part of the seat. Those are obviously very strong in that seat.
That was a hard hit, glad she walked away. Clearly she was much better off than she would have been 10-15 years ago without such a good containment seat and without safer barriers.
