Default HANS Feedback from the manufacturer

I had the manufacturer, who of course knows so much less than a few guys here on the list, review my configuration of HANS , Seat and belts.

the feedback was the angle of the seat vs the HANS is only for comfort, NOT for safety. A high ranking member of the HANS company , saw my pictures and provided guidance. they also confirmed its age range to years, 2003-2005, as we discussed. NOT the age that one uniformed race list member had noted as "fact". the serial numbers will confirm that it is a 2005 manufactured device (side note)

Im still investigating the angle of the seat for belt effectivenss with the use of the hans.

as far as the seat goes, it will be a moot point when it gets replaced with a newer seat.

for those that were curious about the actual topic.

You might have. if anyone was concerned with the HANS seat angle from the saftey perspective, they can rest assured that the manufacturer says it's safe, with only a risk of being uncomfortable.

Ug, the world hates know-it-alls.

Besides, not all that many people had an issue with the angle of your seat. Some, sure. But the biggest problem folks had with the seat was that it wasn't high enough, and your adjusters were too high.

Did they approve of your 3" hog ring in the back? Interesting that you only report feedback on one of a handful of items.

Also interesteding you are espousing their knowledge when you first came on here lambasting their abilities to design an effective device.

From now on, I'll know better than to think anything you post requesting help is anything other than a request for people to pat you on your back for whatever "solution" you've come up with.

And you made an entirely new thread for this, on top of the previous two, WHY?

The seat is crap and less safe when compared to what is now availble. At some point this might soak in and you will just shut up. Speaking for myself only I can say I am tired of the "Ask a question and then prove I am right" threads you are becoming famous for.

You are not the only one! I suspect it is the same for scores and scores of people here.

You should have gone to the manufacturer initially. Instead you have opened your mouth not once but twice and have removed all doubt.

I'm the only one who is surprised that HANS supported the crazy angle and position of that seat?

they must be pretty damn confident of their product
