Default PCA Rules - comment period ends 6/1

Be sure to send in your comments.

Blocking seems to be a hot topic right now.

Any others?

I believe the correct address to send your suggestions to is:

Let's all ask for a rule book that clearly defines blocking, leaving racing room, chopping, clear 13 definition (including unacceptable offensive use of the 13 - like sticking your nose in), etc.

We've needed this for a long time

Not only ask for a definition of blocking but make that definition consistent with the rest of the racing world and not PCA's own version that no one seems to be able to understand.

I can't remember which event - Sebring or Road Atlanta, but the stewart made a strong point NOT to suggest the same old stuff. Like passenger seats in stock classes. Whatever stock class means. I have not seen Porsche street cars coming from the factory with roll cages, harnesses, race seats, fuel cells or? or? To call these cars 'Stock' is a real joke. Safety should trump 'Stock'. Like requiring cages, etc. My car would be much safer w/o a passenger seat and a wing window. No way to exit out the driver window w/o opening the door. W/O wing I think I could just do it.
But as the saying goes - wish in one hand - $hit in the other.

Ha! Too bad! I will propose that rule change every year until the day I die!

Following that advice, our cars would still be full of carpet.

My passenger seat does make a nice soft place to put my helmet and HANS between races.

Plus I often like to take a passenger ride-along during races. You know, for the extra weight. I see passengers riding along during races all the time.

Some rules defy logic. I can't for the life of me understand the passenger seat in a race car. It just doesn't add up. Useful? No. Added safety? Hell no. Cushy place to put your helmet and HANS? Well, gotta give one there.

I want the remove the glass wind wing and replace it with a knock-out lexan for emergency exit.

My coolshirt cooler fits there perfectly which keeps the beer handy.
