Default Rumble vids!

Post up your Rumble at the Oak Tree videos here!

Great event. Hot but fun. This is Saturday's first Red sprint. Had a blast racing Laurence Jitts. After a full course caution took away his lead I was able to pass him for P1 on the last lap. It was a hard fought race. Things definitely got interesting after the restart

I learned two valuable things this weekend: Not all Aussies carry giant knives and wear hats decorated with animal teeth (they do all sound funny though) and the PCA stewards cannot have someone deported. I pulled into the black flag station after the race to see if I could get Laurie picked up by INS before the afternoon points race but they couldn't help me. After all, a lot of races are won in the paddock right?

All kidding aside, nice to meet and race with Laurie and I spent a lot of time hanging out with Mark Murray. Great folks and fun to race with.

Enjoy:

Nice video...enjoyed it.

The other Boxster sure had some top-end speed on you.
Not trying to say anything was illegal, just curious.
Is there a good reason for that? Better exhaust, fresh motor....muffler bearings???

Streak,
Loved the video! Fantastic back and forth with both the old 911's and you guys in the Boxster's. Good avoidance of all the spins. You seemed to do much better when you took Oak Tree in 2nd gear rather than 3rd during the first few laps.

Wish I could have been there.

Thanks.

You are right about Oak Tree. I was trying to make a 3rd gear sweeper out of it but just had too much understeer to make that work. I didn't want to dial out the understeer since those esses can get exciting. More time at VIR would certainly help find the balance. In the later sprint I abandoned the 3rd gear thing entirely and I could stay closer to Jitts.

That was a well prepared car for sure. I lost many car lengths in the straights. I was running a little hot which may have had an effect on my power and I was a little heavier. I always run too much gas since my gauge isn't reliable. Don't want a DQ!

Do you have a set of muffler bearings for a 944 S2? Thanks in advance...

Was that a cash award from you streak??? haha i mean he was showing you how your old car shuold have been driven.
Duetschcar did better and better all weekend, ran consistently and strong...great weekend for him and got some good vid from behind him in the esse's (later he told me he thought he was holding me up and youll see in the video he matches if not surpasses my speed up the esses)...not that its any great feat but
And congrats on the second place in the enduro...your first but not last podium....he missed 1st by something like .14 seconds...
still cant believe you didnt hit a deer each time you waved...i thought it was a proven cause of on track deer incidents.

here is sprint 1 for me....tires made it very dicy car would understeer and then over steer which made it fun...with new tires the car was very stable and gave my arms a rest.....Europro's and Intersport made the race possible after the watkins incident......once tires were replaced car was much better and got a new pers best here. 2:14.7...still no 2:12s like the record but getting better each year makes me happy.

Hairy run through South Bend @ 27:30. I was sitting in the grass on the left after Oak Tree by then just watching the race.
