Start of Blue Sprint 2.

As you can see from the video , I have no first hand knowledge of what started the mess.
Lucky to make it through unscathed.
Let's try and not do that again for awhile.

I'm surprised they are starting the race there. I know that NASA starts at the secondary start/finish line on the back straight, and then ends the race at the grandstands finish line. Helps to avoid clusterfecks like that.

We always started the races on the back straight. Seems a better place than there on the front.

The car immediately in front of Kim missed a shift. No where to go, quick flick to the right in the gap, her front right to blue car's left rear. Turned him into the car that missed the shift.

Everyone stopped right around the corner as soon as you could see the next flag station. Some drivers were already around turn 1 before the red came out at turn 1.

The red was very well respected I can assure you.

Diid anyone get video of the split at the restart after the black flag. I get the feeling many of you did not expect me to be there. Thanks for not hitting me. Great driving

Every SCCA Runoffs I attended (5) at MO , plus every pro race I've ever watched has started on the back straight....with one exception, single file re-starts.

Not sure why the organizers of this PCA race would think they needed to break ranks and do it differently...especially since it seemd on the video that the guys were going to full throttle two very tight turns before the staright away.

Perhaps this incident will demonstrate the need to do it like everyone else does.
