Huge SpecBoxster shootout shaping up at Hallett
With a month until the green flag flies we have 19 SPB cars signed up. If any of
you Boxster drivers out there are looking to move up in the points this is the place to get it done. Hopefully a record field and our own run group.

BTW - The comment period is open on the proposed rule changes. Voice you thoughts on adding an LSD - shocks free - headers - etc.

I know of 3 more SPBs that will be there but haven't signed up yet so we'll have at least 22.
I'd love to have our own run group but I'm not sure it will work. I think it would mean 3 run groups which would limit track time. Maybe we could have one feature Sprint Race for Spec Boxsters only? Sure would be interesting to watch.

If memory serves, I think PCA ran a separate SPBOX class last year at Hallett. I'm pretty sure it was 3 run groups total for the weekend.

Yup. It was a 3 race group setup last year. They broke out the 16 Boxsters and put in 7 SP1/2 cars to make it a field

Thanks Mike and Michael. I stand corrected. Given the number of SPBs signed up relative to the total number of participants I'd guess that there's a good chance we might have our own run group. Exciting!

So are SPB drivers too good to talk trash? For Hallett being the big showdown I'd think someone should be talking some smack. What about the SP996, biggest field ever, not even a chirp?

The yellow group ought to be a riot; many GTC cars, a veritable ****load of Spec996s and quite a few GT cars.
It's my big rookie race weekend (did the prelim stuff up at Hastings already), so ya'll 996's can just follow me around!!!
Sadly, I don't see Polk and the Moo car registered.

Speaking of lapping people, Klaus's closing speed on us commoner cup cars will be scary let alone what it'll be like on the tail end of the group. He could lap the 2nd place finisher.....
