Looking for an E Car!

But, I would love to have a nice '72 or '73 911S or even a 911E in my garage. I'd skip anything in the '74 to '77 range. But the 911SC and Carrera ('77 to '89) look great even today. The C2 look grew on me later on and I love the 993.
I appreciated the 944 platform...but never got excited by the look of the car. The shape is just not unique enough I guess...
Of course, what catches my eye may do nothing for your eye. But, I don't think I am in the minority on this one.

Posted on Pelican now. Sad day for me. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...ml#post8349103
Thanks for the kind words, guys! Just checked in and saw the compliments.
I'm serious about selling now, as depressed as it makes me. Working on the ad today.

Thanks, Richard.
Mike Quigley pointed out this tread to me and the fact that for myriad reasons, I probably won't race anytime soon.
As much as it pains me to make this admission, I am working on a build sheet for a prospective buyer. Suffice is to say, this isn't a Buckley car by any stretch but it has beaten or been second to him many times. Car has a real 930/10 motor and all the go fast parts from just before adjustable front mono ***** and cheater wheels were allowed. Honest car that could use some modernizing. I by no means, am expecting Buckley offers (read half).
I think its finishes from 2002 to 07 speak for themselves.
The group of guys I've met racing in E, across the country, are some of the finest, most competitive men. Many of them I count as my closest friends. The stories of all night repairs among us, just to slug it out again, are tales of legend. You cannot find a group with more honest camaraderie anywhere.

Look forward to Enduro racing it in Sebring with seller :-)
I made him do it and he drinks good beer only, so we'll get along just fine.
Sometimes you buy a car, sometimes you buy the seller

You better show up at Winterfest for the 6 hour enduro.
Have a E car as backup and the cheater RSA for DE or 6 hour backup.
I'm putting really long low sliders in both cars. I owe you a ride :-)
You book Chateau yet??

$17K was a great price for this car given how well Jesse did with it.

INCOMING!!
Car should arriving this week, I'm travelling but getting the sunroof hacked out, floor pan cut out with low sliders to fit my fat *** in it, update belts and seats, a set of tires and a look over and we're going to give it a wirl at Sebring. If we make it through Wintwrfest, 48hours should be awesome.
Counting on Jess being there from Colorado to help me drive it :-)
