be careful with Chateau Elan. I agree that the restaurant isn't very good and very pricey. With many events, like Winterfest, they hit you with a minimum stay. Probably staying at the Residence Inn for Winterfest this year.

All the hotels down there suffer from the "Masters Syndrome." that's where a little **** town must make all it's tourist revenue from a once a year event. I've paid $600 for a Days Inn in Augusta, and $575 for a La Quinta in Lexington. Le Chat is like $400 for rooms during the 12 hours, and the rates spill over to the shoulder weeks a little.

Winter is also considered the "high" season in the Hospitality industry in Florida. Sebring is full of golfers that time of year.

All set to go, except hotel (booking tonight) and a shop to check out the car. Suggested shops in the Palm City area? Anything within an hour or so. Prefer an indy rather than dealer if possible.
