Exclamation ROEBLING PCA RACE in a few weeks! More track time than you will know what to do with!

Trying to raise some interest in the PCA Roebling Road Race which is just a few weeks away. Looks as if there are less than 40 racers signed up so far. Bob Woodman Tires is hosting an open track day on Thursday Feb 28 and then March 1-3 is the regular PCA Race format. Friday practice seesions and fun races and then 3 sprint races on the weekend.

I would guess this is pretty much the opposite of Sebring, much more laid back and less crowded with plenty of open track in a more relaxed setting. Perfect for lots of seat time and getting the rust off from a long winter. Good tune up before the schedule heats up at Road Atlanta and LRP.

Hopefully some more racers will sign up for the event.

And for this event, the 3 sprint races are 944 Cup points for the South Chapter and also qualify for Bonus Round points in the North and Canada Chapters, and count towards getting the minimum races need to qualify for the 944 Cup Natioanls at Daytona in October.

Heading there this weekend for the Citrus DE and going to try to get the wife to let me come back for the Race. She and the kids like hanging out in the huge open field in the RV. Agreed that it's 180 degrees from Sebring and the weather is awesome this time of year.

I'll be there. I've always liked this event because of its laid-back personality.

Most people think the track is a throw away, but there is a lot of speed hidden in there if you are willing to work for it. It's also a great equalizer between power and handling cars.

The BBQ is pretty good and Savannah is awesome for the after hours events. Just not Paula Dean's place.....yech.

We'll likely be grilling out on Friday night at the track if anyone is interested, bring a couple steaks along. We always have a good time.

Can't see why anyone would take it as a throw away: Trailing just enough into 1, keeping it down through 3 while it pushes out toward 4, patience in 7, hitting 9 just right to carry max speed down the straight. Really fun track IMHO.

Brent, Do I need to bring the grill this time?

Bob L, Do you want me to pick you up one of the Brontasourus Steaks like I brought to CMP last year?

Looking forward to the Friday Night Steak Cookout!

Come on guys and gals, sign up. Roebling is a ton of fun. Great track to drive and great folks to party with. Three Sprint races for a reasonable cost, and if history repeats itself, the fun race on Friday could be a full sprint. If you are not committing to Roebling because you are worried about making the Road Atlanta race, Peachstate has modified it's refund policy. Very reasonable. The Club Registration site has been modified with the new policy. Check it out!

We need more H cars!

If it takes is a cookout to get the numbers up, then I'll bring my grill for the H'ers. Maybe throw in a beer or two as well.
