Default "Flat Out" in a 962 w/ Norbert Singer interview

Ok- not flat out (circa 240 mph) but pretty quick in a very expensive piece of history. I hadn't seen this and just found it. Very interesting and high kewl factor..

p.s. Norb seems like a good bloke. Maybe he can make me an overtake button for my 996.

If you liked that, get yourself the DVD, "In Car 956".

Wow, what a cool video. I have a book on Singer that is fantastic. So many innovations, and not a little bit of rule rule exploitation (a ton!), but all very clever. A great era.

What's surprising to me is that I can't buy a car with that technology today, and for cheap. Think of all the other technological things from 1987 and how much they cost now. Maybe I'm spoiled working in the tech industry, but I'm always fascinated by the glacial pace the car industry moves. Ferrari was making cars 50 years ago that would still be some of the fastest cars on the road if sold today.

A foul lie !! The 962 was motoring on at least 3 cylinders!

WOW!!! is all I can say about that 956 lap. I had the distinct honor of riding with Derek Bell on a few occasions at Lime Rock. It was like a ballet on ice skates.

Join Kojote Sport and participate in their open track events. Bill Hawe usually brings his 962 and one year there was another 962 as well. I have been on track with Bill's 962, a Nascar Truck team practicing, a Ferrari Challenge team and an ex Al Unser Indy car. Spent lots of time in the garages drooling over them. Every year I ask Bill for a ride in the small passenger seat but it's unfortunately out

Mulsanne - the track looks about 6' wide at those speeds
