Default air jacks

I have a world challenge car. we're way light in weight. lots of ballast.
was thinking of putting in air jacks as they can be useful in making quick changes, tire changes, etc. since I have some weight to give up to get to regulation weight.

thoughts? ideas? injecting a potential problem where one isn't needed?
what kind of weight would a typical 3 or 3 airjack system add to a car?
3 or 4? whats the rule there?

My cars air jacks added 17 lbs. They make life a lot easier. They were sourced and installed by Jerry Woods so I live in blissful ignorance of any other details. I know the weight as it was an even trade in weight to replace the power steering with a manual rack and add the air jacks. It's a 3 jack setup.

I believe my 3 jack set up was right at or below the 17lbs quoted by Tom. It really make swaybar changed and other servicing a dream.

Here is a quick video of mine in action.

with three jack system in normal cup location, clearly no need for two jacks in front. Have majority of car's weight behind rear jacks. I have smaller dia jack in front and front goes up well before rear (using 350 psi pressure).

Weight is in ballpark with what I'm told by supplier ours weigh. They were on the car before I bought it. Three jack setup. Great for solo weekends, makes rotating the tires an easy process, great for shock and suspension adjustment.

There is of course the cool factor as well. Good luck

Most of the cup chassis's have two 60mm jacks in the rear and one 45mm jack in the front. Sobek or Krontec. http://cupcarsolutions.com/jacks.htm

I haven't use these, but they have some nice technical info on their site about lifting weights, etc. www.airjax.com
