BBS E50 Leaking, Help please!
Hi guys.
I rebuilt a set of BBS E50s. I'm having trouble getting the one wheel to seal, the others hold air, but after putting the one together twice, no luck holding air.
It got better the second time, but still leaking out around one of the bolts, and also through the halves/sealing ring.
I even applied a layer of sealant around the sealing area.
Not sure what is going on here, but if anyone can provide any hints that would be great.
Thanks,
Alex

Yeah I used all new hardware.
I'm not sure what is wrong, I did not use a torque wrench the second time I assembled. I figured I crushed the gasket by torquing them too tight the first time (13ft lbs on big half inch wrench)

Did you use the "NEW design ring & o-ring?
The new ones use an o-ring with a groove in it. The new ring is recessed to allow the o-ring to slip into the groove in the rubber. They work good.
If you have the oil system with two o-rings( one on each side) forget it. They will always leak around the bolts. Call BBS and get the new system.
