Default Road America: Where to stay?

I plan to do the PCA club race at RA in Sept. Not having lived in WI for 30 years, I need help on the lodging available (I hear it's limited). Looking for a nice place to stay, cost is not a large factor (hell, given what bringing the car out and track side support will cost, it's not a factor at all).

The Osthoff.

May be developing a large (for modern times) GT 3R field.

Definetly The Osthoff. Road America was my home track until very recently. Book early as it fills up Labor Day weekend. Also look to get a lakeside room if the family is coming as the view is better from the balcony.

Mark I think you are thinking of the 2-bedroom suites. A lakeside room is expensive but not that expensive. That said, if you have a buddy or two you can get 2 and 3 bedroom suites that are pretty affordable to split the cost on. The Ostoff is the way to go and just a few steps from Siebkin's...

There's also a pretty-new Baymont Inn in Plymouth. Not the homey feel of the Osthoff or Siebken's or Vic Village, but still very close to track, free breakfast and (not kidding) being located in the parking lot of the WalMart, if you run out of anything, it's really convenient.

Regards to all.

What about Kohler? The American Club ($$$$) or Inn On Woodlake ($$$). It's not that far from the track. Maybe 25 minutes. Sheboygan (5 miles away from Kohler) has some great restaurants (Trattoria Stefano, Field To Fork, Il Ritrovo and The Black Pig) are all very good to excellent.

The plymouth inn in plymouth is 10 minutes from the track, affordable, and decent enough rooms. We stay there 7-8 years in a row without any issue. Obviously you don't have Siebken's within walking distance, but it is a quick drive.

For food, stefano's in sheboygan is worth the trip.

Yeah, but Plymouth is a further drive from Schwartz's Supper Club...

Osthoff is el primo!

One of the best tracks/track scenes in America, IMO.

Don't think it was there 20 years ago.

Stay at the Osthoff, go to the bar as Siebkins.
