Thanks for posting, I'll spend some time studying this. I suppose it's too much of a stretch goal to catch Globe in his SP996 in my BMW track rat :-).

Other than the incident Saturday, it was a very good event. I didn't seen a single train in White all weekend - and no, I wasn't leading one. Even the wet session Sunday was fun.

However, it was a good event not to be in Yellow. I saw a dozen car train from T3-T2 in Yellow from the paddock. Good grief. The real pathetic thing about it is when I saw it I assumed it was the Greens .

Pretty clean lines being taken by Globe's car there.

Who was driving it?

It's a pity you will be "working" on Nov 9-10, because we will have Andy Lally there at an advanced coaching event...

I think you *need* me in the car; a certain yellow student has far outdone you in offroading antics! You gonna settle for second place, or take back the crown?

I'm perfectly fine with second place, but thanks for the offer.

Good call. I saw the other car - it's going to need a lot more buffing than the 17 did.

Can I ask about the wide line you take in T1? Everyone has always told me to stay away from that part of the pavement due to camber/marbles.

If you take the corner too tight you will be scrubbing speed. You need to let the car unwind a bit in this region of the track. I am more curious about his line through T6. John R showed me a line through there that had a little later apex and did not track out as far that allowed for power earlier.

It was a very fun weekend. And hot. And steamy on Sunday. But it was good to be back at TWS. Such a fun track.

It has been quite traffic-ful in yellow this year, but this weekend actually seemed slightly less bad. Maybe? That's just my own observation, though. I did get to go out first Sunday's last session and had the track all to myself until I caught the tail.

In order to carry more entry speed into 2, a super-tight line in between 2 and 1 is impossible...and would scrub too much speed anyway. So I try to do as little change of steering input as possible after initial turn in, especially when the track is less griippy (as it was Sunday when the video was taken).

Again, T6 is a super high entry speed corner. I would venture that my entry speeds are faster there than nearly anyone else. As such, apexing later in 6 would put my track out later, which would force me to add steering to make T5...which would either make the car extremely unstable or much slower. So high entry speed + where I apex 6 puts me all the way out at track out of 6 (which allows more speed and also allows me to go to throttle pretty much at the apex of 6) and then makes it very easy for the car to then apex 5 (which is where the grippy pavement & camber is) w/o adjusting steering.
