The in car perspective of that street course is absolutely daunting. Also the bumps through the chicane on the front straight are insane. How much stuff came loose on the car?

We did a full nut and bolt inspection on the cars before qualifying and after race 1. Suspension moutings took a beating. I was running Bilstein adjustables and can't imagine how the guys on stock Sachs were able to hold on. The bumps were horrific. It made Sebring feel like fresh asphalt by comparison. You had to modulate your brake pressure to account for the moments when the wheels were in the air. A very unique racing experience. Really glad I had the chance to participate.
The walls forced extra focus no doubt. You don't get away with the occasion mid corner mistake like on a traditional track. There is NO runoff once you commit to the corner. Very challenging. Compounded by 125F inside the car and 95% humidity this was by far the most demanding driving I have ever done.

that looks like the most stupid track ever and I'd never risk even my worthless race car to go there. That chicane is a ridiculous joke, and the racing was lousy to even watch. That race has been problematic from the outset, remember that truck last year that nearly didn't get off in time?

Surprised that there wasn't a full course caution - seems to be the norm in the states. Would like to see more local yellows.
With the history of turn one, should they consider a single file start? Might prevent some of the carnage.

Yikes that was close, good start Kasey. Hope Rob's mom fortified you for the races with homemade crab cakes. Congrats on a good race weekend, glad you made it out of there in one piece.
