It'll be pretty easy to use for spec classes. Less so for others so I expect we will see a lot of these this year Streak. I can't remember a race in the past two years where I didn't get something checked.

Just looked, it's the 275/50 15" that is the same diameter as the 275/35 18", 25.5".. vs. the 23.0" dia. of my current 275/35 15". The 245/16 is 24.7"

Tires are a part of the calculation used with the equipment. Up to and including measuring the diameter when removing the unit from your car.

Exactly. If they know your speed,rpm and tire size they will know your gear ratio.

For the folks that had these black boxes in your cars did you go to the scales as well? If not then PCA wasn't using it for anything other than testing how they are going to put it in and take it out. Knowing the actual weight of the target car is a vital variable.

Yes to scales. As well as having bore and stroke measured in motor.

How are they measuring stroke? That's new since I was checked at the Glen last year.

Had me pull a spark plug and cycled the motor with some handy dandy sliding thingies that someone had made up for them. They pulled them out and then compared them to known templates.

They came by to check me too. I got the car all ready and waited and waited and waited and I finally flagged them down and they decided it was too late to bother with it so my 3.9 will live to see the next event! MWAAAHAAAHAAAHAAAA!
