LOL, I love the way he’s stripped the interior to make it a better track performer.

The first time I ever went to the Nurburgring was with a colleague whose sister worked for a rental company and set us up with a brand new Mercedes SLK. Unfortunately, it was a business trip and we both had big suitcases to carry suits, and the cases wouldn’t fit in the SLK. So instead we ended up with a turbo Peugeot we had never heard of before, but one that the French guy at the Hertz rental counter in Paris assured us “iz vewy faaassst!!!” Turned out it was a diesel and a total dog. Foot to the floor, it could only manage 100 MPH flat out on the Autobhan, and only when headed downhill with a tailwind. It was just as well – we got all the way there to discover the ring was closed for a rock concert. So we drank some great German beer instead, and did a better job pre-planning the next time there, several years later.

Hats off, gents! Really an achievement. His lines were basicaly OK, considering the traffic, except at both Karussels.
I've ridden shotgun a Suzuki Swift GTI where the driver was a Formula Ford national champ. Use of brakes were more or less the same, just as the Suzuki winds slightly higher top speed faster there was a need for braking in couple of turns more.

Used all of the track plus! Good job hustling a diesel and how the gearbox held up to those shifts without failure, should be mounted like a trophy on the wall.

Passes a minivan a 8:58, then no lift passing a spinning car...nice. It's too bad we can't be trusted with anything like this in the States, there would be cars, bodies and lawyers lining the track.
